Partners in Health treats patients and trains local health care workers in some of the most marginalized communities around the world. It partners with academic institutions and governments to strengthen health systems and to influence health policy — because everyone deserves the right to health care. In addition to general operating support, the Ansara’s are helping to fund with PIH the Maternal and Child Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone, a country with one of the highest rates of maternal and child mortality in the world.
