Immigrant Family Services Institute

Founded by dedicated Haitian immigrant professionals who share linguistic and cultural values, IFSI-USA is rooted in the Boston neighborhoods where many of its staff and their newly arrived Caribbean brothers and sisters live. This organization amplifies the voices of immigrants and accelerates their integration into the U.S. social and economic fabric with justice and dignity through a robust framework of education, workforce development, and advocacy for equity and inclusion. Operating through its 'One Stop Center' in Mattapan and established coalitions across Massachusetts' gateway cities, IFSI-USA addresses essential needs—food, clothing, shelter, and legal aid—while transitioning individuals and families into opportunities for advancement. By focusing on urgent needs and providing access to English language education, vocational training, employment, and community involvement, IFSI-USA is steadfast in upholding the rights of immigrants and promoting their equitable integration into American society.
