Manchester Essex Conservation Trust

Manchester Essex Conservation Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving ecologically important land and wildlife habitat in Manchester-by-the-Sea and Essex, MA, promoting its use for quiet recreation, education and research.  For 60 years MECT has enhanced the quality of life on Cape Ann by ensuring that lands which are vital to public health (protecting drinking water supplies, holding back storm waters, and providing clean air) remain in their natural conditions.  MECT events are free and open to the public, and everyone can enjoy the miles of trails they protect and steward for the next generations.
