On June 14th, the Haitian Coalition of Somerville. will host its 11th annual Fundraising Gala from 7-11 pm, at the Holiday Inn at 30 Washington Street in Somerville. The Gala will bring together up to 400 people for an exciting evening of music, dance, a business expo, raffle, auction and investment in our youth.

The Haitian Coalition is a non-profit organization whose mission is to organize Haitians to improve their economic, political, physical and social environments in Somerville and surrounding Greater Boston. In 2013 alone, the Haitian Coalition helped over 1,500 Haitians become more self-sufficient through ESL, literacy and citizenship classes, job development services, legal counseling and a community health fair.

The goal of this year’s gala is to raise $50,000 to support a computer center and after school activities and tutoring support for Haitian youth.
