Mass Poetry believes that words matter. The organization helps to broaden the audience of poetry readers of all ages and transforms people’s lives through inspiring verse. Its programs include an Evening of Inspired Leaders; Student Day of Poetry, which brings hundreds of middle and high school students to writing workshops with top poet educators; the Massachusetts Poetry Festival, hosted in Salem, MA; Poetry on the MBTA; Raining Poetry on public sidewalks; and professional development seminars for teachers.
