Greening Haiti Fund
Greening Haiti Fund works with the community of Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti to re-establish local food production and improve food security by using an Agroforestry approach. GHF provides practical education to farmers and youth, technical agricultural support and oversight, paid employment and internships, a variety of tree seedlings, and a reliable water supply. Agroforestry reduces soil erosion and restores soil fertility, improves drainage to reduce greenhouse gases, and improves resilience to climate change. GHF hopes to establish a model of community revitalization that can be replicated throughout Haiti’s Southern Peninsula.
