RefugePoint
RefugePoint works in partnership with other organizations to find lasting solutions for the world’s most at-risk refugees through resettlement, complementary pathways, and self-reliance. Recognizing that the vast majority of refugees will never be able to leave their host countries, RefugePoint is developing avenues for refugees to become self-reliant socially and economically through entrepreneurship and other sustainable livelihoods. While the organization has primarily focused on African refugees, in October 2021 it launched with the White House and other partners a new Sponsorship Circle Program for Afghan refugees. Groups of Americans will be trained to provide services to augment those of traditional resettlement agencies tasked with integrating over 50,000 Afghan refugees into American communities.
